It’s important to celebrate small victories – and it is with great pleasure that I today received the Academy of Management’s Best Reviewer Award! I might be out of academia, but I’m glad I can still contribute, even in such a small way.
I knew I wouldn't be able to participate in the 81st Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management this year, the world's largest scientific conference in management. I have left my academic career behind but it doesn't mean I want to be entirely out of the loop. I signed up as a reviewer to keep a tab on the latest development in research in the International Management division and in the Managerial & Organisational Cognition division.
The International Management division has recognised my efforts with the Best Reviewer Award. I am happy my contribution has been notiser and I hope it brought value to the authors developing their work.
